Industry News

Dear Colleagues from Industry,

The International Conference OPTIM 2012 (Optimization of Power Electrical and Electronic Equipment), which is technically sponsored by IEEE-IES, -PELS, -IAS, and by IET, to be held in May 24-26, 2012 in Brasov, Romania, at “Cheile Gradiştei” Complex, Moieciu, Brasov county, intends to organize also a special oral session on "Industry's News" and an "Industrial Exhibition" - in the large lobby - where the industry can present new products in the field.

We kindly invite international and local manufacturers of hardware and software products in Power Electrical, Electronics and Automation Engineering, to attend this session for quite a few reasons:

  • OPTIM biannual Conference held in 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010 in the prime mountain Resort Brasov area of Romania is well attended by quality participants from Academia and Industry (about 50 % from abroad) and its about 180 papers are accepted and reviewed in full length (6-8 double column pp) IEEE to guarantee good quality; so industry can meet quite a few top scholars in the field; the keynote addresses (two from Academia and two from Industry) are also testimony to this.
  • OPTIM Conferences will continue biannually in Brasov, placed in the center of Romania, and so will be the Industry Session and Exhibition; this fact will create long lasting relationships.
  • with three Top Romanian Technology Universities as organizers (with more than 30,000 students in engineering), contact with local Academia is maximized; special meetings with students from “Transilvania” University of Brasov, or any Technological University in Romania can be organized for industry by request.
  • Romania, with 22 million people, is a EU member with a dynamic industry and research community in Power Electrical , Electronics and Automation Engineering, with numerous top international companies subsidiaries and many small and medium competitive engineering local companies scattered all over the country but very much so around Brasov.
  • The OPTIM 2012 organizers will do their best to invite most representative users, of power electrical and electronics and industrial automation equipment, from Romania and from the Eastern European region, to attend the proposed exhibition and special industry's session
  • The third, cultural day of the conference, is open for all participants with one free trip in the mountains or at historical places with well preserved medieval architecture nearby; special trips to the famous 15th century outside-painted Monasteries in Bucovina (North-East of Romania) may also be arranged by request.
So, please enroll for the "Industry's Exhibition" and (or) "Industry News Session" by checking the attached Call for Industry (romanian version as .doc 33.7KB or .pdf 137KB) / (english version as .doc 33.7KB or .pdf 137KB).

Looking forward to hear from you soon and see you in Brasov in May at OPTIM 2012.
